Helping your child thrive, one step at a time.
At Little Steps, we offer practical, personalised occupational therapy to help children build the skills they need to thrive. We focus on sensory support, coordination, and everyday independence — especially for children who’ve struggled since COVID. Working with families and schools, we create clear, achievable plans that make a real difference.
Our Approach
We believe every child has a unique way of learning and interacting with the world. Our sensory assessments and coordination support are tailored to foster independence and self-care. We believe that building a strong relationship is an integral part of the process and that children only really open up to people they trust.
Sensory Focus
We conduct comprehensive sensory assessments to understand how your child processes input, helping us create a supportive environment that reduces overwhelm and increases focus.
Coordination Support
Targeting fine and gross motor skills, we provide strategies to improve hand-eye coordination and physical self-care, ensuring your child can participate confidently in daily activities.
Independence
We empower children to become more self-reliant. We use structured support to build self-care routines and independence-building activities that promote long-term growth.

Meet Jules
Hi, I’m Jules.
I work as a Children’s Occupational Therapist, which means I support young people with things that can feel difficult in day-to-day life — whether that’s getting organised, handling stress, or finding ways to be more confident and independent. My work focuses on day to day practical skills. Part of it is assessing and working out what is preventing someone from doing there day to day activities. I’ve worked with lots of children and teenagers, and I always try to make sessions feel relaxed, practical, and centred on what matters to them.
in the past I worked as a youth worker and a sports coach and I have been an OT for 8 years. I’ve got two children of my own, I try to bring patience, humour, and understanding to my work — and I’m always interested in hearing about your children's hobbies, interests, and what helps them feel comfortable.
Outside of work, I’m a bit of a gamer — I enjoy board games and video games. I also like spending time outdoors, whether that’s walking, canoeing, or just being in nature. Creativity is important to me too: I enjoy drawing, making things, and coming up with new ideas. My four year old son keeps me super busy!
